Heights of around 3 to 5 feet can be expected for a lemon tree growing indoors. They also prefer well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Keep the soil evenly moist and fertilize as needed. Citrus fruit, such as lemons, oranges, limes, grapefruit and kumquats always come in pots. You may want to repot your plant into a more attractive or robust container. Re-pot using a fertile loam-based compost with a good amount sharp (gritty) sand mixed in. It is essential that this is free draining, as citrus trees do not like to be waterlogged. Citrus trees should be repotted in the spring. They do not like to be potted into a pot that is much too large for them. Pot size should only be increased by about 8cm (3in) each time. Sometimes it may not be necessary to increase the size of the pot. In this case, just remove the top 2-5cm (1-2in) of soil and replace with fresh compost. You should be able to maintain your lemon, orange, lime and kumquat trees in a pot that is about 50-60cm (20-24in) wide. Just top dress each spring, and every 2-3 years remove the plant from the pot, take away about 2-5cm (1-2in) of soil from all around and replace with fresh compost.

About 11 percent of the sodium ascorbate mixture consists of sodium, so if you take 1,000 milligrams of sodium ascorbate, you’ll get 111 milligrams of sodium. The amount of sodium in the recommended dose should be listed in the supplement facts. If you have high blood pressure or need to follow a low-sodium diet for any health reason, you may need to limit your intake of sodium ascorbate supplements.
